THE FACES OF DADT
More than 13,500 troops have been discharged from the U.S. military because the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" law (or DADT), and tens of thousands more have quietly left military service on their own because of the burden of serving under DADT. The "Faces of DADT" initiative is an ongoing Servicemembers United project to help put a human face on the statistics associated with DADT for the media, policy makers, and the public by profiling many of the dedicated, capable, and well-trained men and women who have been impacted over the years by this law. When the volleys start flying and when comentators begin debating unit cohesion, privacy, morale, morality, and readiness, remember that these are the faces of this discrimination -- these are THE FACES OF 'DON'T ASK, DON'T TELL.'
